Anne W. Grande Law Library
On
November 3, 2009 the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners unanimously passed
Board Action Request 09-0509 naming the Hennepin County Law Library the
"Anne W. Grande Law Library."
The Board recognized Anne's lifetime of career-competence and creativity, as
well as her leadership in introducing electronic and online resources to enhance
the collection of thousands of law books and journals in serving both legal
professionals and the general public.
Anne Grande was the director of the Law Library from 1975 until 2008 when she
took medical leave. She was
the Law Library's longest-serving director since the library's governance was established in
1934.
In 2008
Minnesota Lawyer recognized Anne as one of the state's "Unsung Legal
Heroes."
The
Law Library staff is proud to congratulate Anne on this well-deserved honor, and
looks forward to continuing her high standards of service.
