Hennepin County Self-Help Service Center
The Self-Help Service Center connects people with legal resources. Staff can address general questions about Hennepin County District Court cases; refer litigants to on-site programs for family law assistance and brief attorney consultations; provide forms; provide information about full, reduced and no fee attorney services; and direct people to written materials intended to explain the law to non-lawyers.

    Refers persons with legal issues to experienced private attorneys. A personal consultation will be arranged with a attorney who practices in the area of law you need.

    Provides volunteer attorneys to give brief advice without charge to persons facing misdemeanor criminal charges.
  • Low Fee Family Law Project - 612-752-6666
    Provides low-cost legal services for clients of modest means who have family law concerns such as divorce, child support, or child custody.

    Offers free 15-minute consultations with volunteer attorneys at the Hennepin County Government Center.

Hennepin Housing Court Project
Free walk-in legal advice for low-income tenants and landlords at the Hennepin County Government Center.
